'Kodiak Red' diervilla is a native flowering shrub that can add low-maintenance color to parts of the yard where it is difficult to landscape and maintain. It is easy to grow in shade and problem soils, and is also resistant to deer. In the summer, leaves are red and clusters of small yellow flowers appear on top of the foliage, to the benefit of pollinators.
