Named for its appearance after cooking, the Mashed Potato Winter Squash has a remarkable white exterior and interior. Mashed Potato produces three to four fruit per plant, highly productive for a Winter Squash. This versatile squash can be baked and fluffed to resemble mashed potatoes, or used in a variety of dishes.

The vines of this plant bear 3 to 4 fruits each and average 1 to 2 pounds. Sow seeds in fertile, warm soil when the threat of frost has passed. Harvest the fruits when the skin is shiny and before they grow too large.
