One of our favorite annual flowers to grow—and pollinators love it too. Robust, easy-care plants produce spires of clear blue flowers that bloom continuously from July to frost, and attract hummingbirds, bees and butterflies. This is a super easy and very showy plant to grow—it requires no deadheading, and it seems to thrive on neglect. Big Blue Salvia performs in the heat and low-water conditions. Grows 24-36 in. tall. Seeds can be started indoors, and the plants transplanted to the garden. Can also be grown in a container. Grows best when planted in full sun, but will tolerate partial shade.
