Blooming occurs over an extended season beginning in midsummer and continuing through early fall. Clematis Avant Garde, like other Clematis, do best with heavy mulch to cool the roots while upper growth basks in warm sun. Refresh the mulch as needed and keep the soil enriched and well worked.
