Can you believe this standout beauty for the shade garden?! Bethlehem Sage is always distinctive, but Raspberry Splash is simply over-the-top lovely, with giant bloom clusters, quick growth, and great resistance to Powdery Mildew and slugs! You can't "grow wrong" with Raspberry Splash!

The flowers arise in giant, hanging clusters, bell-shaped and colored a rich shade of raspberry-pink. They bloom for several weeks in late spring, filling the shade garden with startling color.

But even when the blooms pass, Raspberry Splash is colorful and bright. The foliage is quite large and fuzzy, a dark green speckled with white like drops of paint. It stays fresh and pretty from spring through fall in any moist, well-drained soil. And this plant tolerates even full shade!

Many Bethlehem Sages have problems with slugs eating their leaves and powdery mildew infections, but Raspberry Splash is highly resistant to both. This makes it easy enough for even a new gardener to be successful with, and an absolutely carefree choice for any shady spot!

Raspberry Splash was bred from two popular Bethlehem Sage varieties: Bertram Anderson and Leopard. Introduced in 2001, it has become an instant classic! It reaches 12 inches tall and 18 to 24 inches wide. Cut it back after the blooms pass for fuller, more dense foliage the rest of the season. Don't miss out on this fine source of color for the shade garden. Zones 4-9.
