Larger than some other trillium, Great White Trillium welcomes spring with pure white flowers that fade to pink. One of the most beloved of the woodland wildflowers, its three leaves, three petals and three sepals make it one of the most recognizable of the native perennial flowers. Growing 12-18 in. tall with a 18-in. spread and clumping habit, this graceful plant looks best when grown in groups or mixed with other woodland wildflowers and ferns. If picking the trillium flower, take care not to pick the green leaves, as they are needed to provide nutrients for the plants to survive. White Trillium grows best in shaded to partial shaded areas.
