Maximilian Sunflower grows 3-10 ft. tall and withstands poor soils and intense heat. It's a showy choice for planting in sunny borders, cottage gardens, naturalized areas, prairies and meadows. Taller plants may require staking. This perennial plant is drought-tolerant, once established, and deer resistant. For best results, plant in full sun. Zones 3-9.
