This potato-leaf type is exceptionally early for an open-pollinated beefsteak tomato. An heirloom wonder, Pruden's purple is actually more of a distinctive pink. The flattened, slightly ribbed fruits can grow up to 454g (1lb) and it has smooth, thin skin that resists cracking. The flesh is firm and meaty with a delicious, rich flavour that is highly rated.
