The fanfare is well-deserved when it comes to the high-contrast, high-impact 'Happy Single Princess' Single Dahlia. Dahlias in the Happy Single series feature very dark foliage that contrasts with saturated flower colors to stand out in the garden. Single flowers feature broad petals around a golden yellow center, favored by bees and butterflies thanks to the easy access to nectar and pollen. Happy Single Dahlias are compact, meaning no staking is needed, and making them a good fit for containers and small gardens. Dahlias are perennial in zones 8-10, but in cooler zones, tubers can be dug after frost comes, stored over winter, then re-planted the following spring.
