Stella de Oro flowers earlier and longer than other daylilies. Its ruffled, 2 1/2 in. golden flowers cover the 15-24 in. plant, attracting butterflies by the dozens.

The purple version of Stella, Purple de Oro is a dwarf daylily that grows just 15-20 in. tall, with trumpet-shaped, 2-3 in. purple flowers with bright yellow-green throats.

These reblooming daylilies are good for naturalizing or planting in large masses for groundcover. Like other daylilies, Stella de Oro and Purple de Oro grow best when planted in full sun to partial shade.
