Coral bells, coral bells! ¡®Obsidian¡¯ casts a spell in the border with dark-purple, almost black leaves. In late spring to early summer appear petite, delicate, creamy-white flowers borne in open, airy panicles on slender 20-24¡± stems. Lobed, rounded, petioled leaves form a 8-10¡± tall mound. Dark foliage has the knack of adding depth and dimension to perennial beds. Does best in part- to full shade in rich, humusy, moderately moist, well-drained soil. PP #14836
