Step up to gourmet dining when you grow Starburst hybrid radish! This Chinese type grows roots that are as big as tangerines and as bright red as watermelons! Great for pickling as well as fresh eating, they are a terrific addition to the garden.

Expect Starburst globes to reach 2 to 2½ inches in diameter, with a white rind, red flesh, and pale green shoots. They mature slowly, with excellent disease and pest fighting ability. And they taste as good as they look!

Radishes are the speed demons of the vegetable patch, ready in well under a month and so easy to grow. They're great for containers, and make a great "first crop" for children because they mature so quickly. They look charming too, with their bright red exteriors and clean white interiors.
